It is story told with my hands, body, heart and lungs.
It is about the piece of land I shall carry.
She sat still for a long time until hands started to devour her into pieces in desperate hunger.

Her cries were swallowed by the dark shadow.
So I pour my heart into her until they merge
and my heart becomes the rock
and the rock owns a heart.

A 30 minute physical performance that explores the thirst for the feeling of home. The body silently screams in response to a rock being constructed and the memories deconstructed.

Rebecca was awarded the Professional Development Grant by Arts Council Malta to devise the piece in a residency through the Solo Lab Mentoring Programme led by Rosalyn Maynard. Maynard is founder of The School of Experiential Learning,UK.
