YIN AND RESTORATIVE YOGA

WHY PRACTICE YOGA ?
A yoga practice is an act of self-care in our daily life. It connects our mind, body and emotions which creates a sensation of reset in a fast paced lifestyle. When the body and mind are calm and become soft, we create space to get in touch with our natural qualities of compassion and acceptance.
WHAT IS RESTORATIVE YOGA ?
Restorative yoga is a practice accessible to anyone to create balance, quiet and relax our bodies and minds. Props are used to give comfort and no sense of stress or strain in the body. This practice balances the nervous system energy flow and has a great therapeutic impact in times of stress.
WHAT IS YIN YOGA ?
Yin yoga is a slow stretch meditative practice with poses lasting between 2 and 10 minutes. Poses increase mobility, flexibility and gently stretch the connective tissue. Softening and relaxing in the asanas help release tension with time and the natural pressure of the body weight.
WHAT DOES A SESSION LOOK LIKE ?
I offer individual and group sessions which can last between 30 minutes to 2 hours. These practices are for anyone who is looking for a space to decompress from a busy lifestyle, or calm down the nervous system in moments of anxiety or whilst recovering from an injury.
